CH Davos - Bowl IG Skatepark Färich
It took 6 years from idea to origination, but at the beginning of August 2019, the "Bowl in Davos" project became a reality in the form of cement, steel and pool copings.
Thanks to the skaters from Davos and surrounding area, tireless duo Marco Guler and Yanosh Simenic, who have been working to realize their dream since 2013. The design, which is reminiscent of a half peanut, comes largely from Marco Guler. Vertical Technik then adapted and optimized the sketches to local conditions. Earthworks and drainage were dredged by local dredge contractor and former Swiss ski racer and overall World Cup winner Paul Accola.
At 1588 meters above sea level, this is the highest Bowl in Europe built by Vertical! It has a depth of 1.3 to 2 meters with 10 cm vert. In the Shallow End, the less deep part, a steel coping was installed and in the deep end a concrete pool coping. This spices things up and demands the skills of the riders.
The location in Fährich is perfectly located. The Bowl is located next to the Bike Park, the pump track and the rope park. To eat, you can go to the "Chalet Velo". A playground and many chill out possibilities complete the offer.
We from the Vertical Skatepark Crew would like to thank Yanosh, Valérie and Paul Accola for the great cooperation. We wish all the visitors many unforgettable sessions at the “Camping Schüssla” (see flyer)!
