CH Ermatingen - Opening Day THE HALL
The new youth center in Ermatingen was opened on November 16, 2014. The response to the new location was huge. Many hundreds of participants visited the new premises. THE HALL in Ermatingen - Opening Day.
The initiators of the project reminisced how the wish of youngsters to get a youth hall that met their expectations became a reality. With great joy, THE HALL was handed over to the children and young adults.
The possibility of young people getting involved in the planning and implementation of the project was actively utilized. Beni Lenzin, secondary school teacher at the School of Ermatingen, organized the workshops with Vertical Technik AG.
There was a lot to admire. The youth club consists of a skate park with a street course and mini ramp, and a mobile concert stage that can be built on the mini ramp. The innovation of this concert stage is that it was designed in a way it can be put together and taken apart by the youngsters themselves. The stage elements are mobile and can be stored in a drawer under the mini ramp. The boulder wall was very popular as well, as you can see on the photos of the opening day.
The opening was celebrated with coaching for beginners and demos in the street area and on the mini ramp. Street City Team of Zurich and some Frontline Riders made an appearance to enhance the show. In addition, students presented the audience with their successful dance show. Several kids who wanted to have an overview of THE HALL used the boulder wall.
