CH Savièse - concrete skate park

During the summer, Savièse received a concrete skate park with a view of the Swiss mountains. The skatepark was designed and built by Vertical Technik. The municipality with 7500 inhabitants lies on a sun terrace at 820 meters above sea level. The view from the skate park extends over the entire Rhone valley and the Swiss Alps.

The Bowl with steel coping has a 1.4 m shallow end and a 1.8 m deep end. It is the first bowl built from on-site concrete in the Swiss Rhone Valley. The total area of the skatepark is 236 m2 including street modules. The street area is small, but there is a corner quarterpipe with curved steel coping, a China bank with spine, a pyramid and a curb. The bowl is surrounded by a tacco, a bump and a curved parking block.
A pump track made from asphalt is located next to the skate park. The leisure area resembles a multi-generation park with activities for people of all ages. Activities next to the skate park and the pump track include a football field, beach volleyball, a nordic walking track, an exercise area, street workout, a playground, shaded seats, a solar tree with a charging station and WiFi, a water feature and a biotope.
