CH Winterthur - Indoor concrete street skate park

The skate park in Block 37 used to be popular throughout Europa and many good sessions and contests took place there. After a 3-year break a new skate park is emerging at the same place, the former Sulzer Areal in Winterthur.

The concept of the new park corresponds to the style of the American Street League Contest Series SLS. Professional skateboarder Simon Stricker was significantly involved in developing the separate elements. “Professional skaters will train here, even if the weather outside is nice.” says Stricker. “Thanks to the numerous possibilities of training different techniques, this skate park is the first perfect street skate park in Switzerland. Here talents have the possibility of becoming starts.”

Description of the skate park
On an area of 730 m2 (length 54.1 m x width 13.5) an ultra-modern concrete street skate park constructed by Vertical is available. Some features are steep and flat rails and hubbas, gaps, stair sets and manual tables. Of course, the cherry on top is not lacking: There’s an original fire hydrant imported form the USA that can be skated. The needs of top professionals are met here. This park is standard for international competitions.
