Overground Basel, located at Els\u00e4sserstrasse 215, is creating the first professional training center for the trendy sports of Ninja, Parkour, Chase Tag, Street Workout, Tricking, and Bigbounce. The hall will house three ninja courses with varying degrees of difficulty, a freestyle parkour area, a Parkour Olympia speed course, a trampoline obstacle course, a Chase Tag area, and a sprung floor for trickers, as well as a large co-working space around the courtyard and a lounge area. When asked how far the work has progressed, Fabian K\u00e4gi from The Ninja Concept association, which initiated the project, says: \u00ab As far as the obstacles are concerned, we are at 80 percent, and for the many small jobs, about 60 percent. Vertical Technik AG has supported the team in the manufacture and installation of the obstacles, but not only that: \u00abVertical has helped us on the one hand with the detailed planning of the structure and its implementation, and on the other hand, the company is one of the main sponsors and thus makes a significant contribution to the success\u00bb, says K\u00e4gi. An exact opening date is still pending: \u00abWe are currently aiming for June\u00bb. Slacklines have been added to the already mentioned offer: This is also a trendy sport in which you balance on a webbing strap that is stretched between two attachment points. <\/span>And further: \u00abIn the summer, we are planning summer camps for children aged 8 to 16, which can be booked during the holidays.\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Vertical Technik is of great importance to us. We receive a solid basic structure. By that I mean the manufacture of sports facilities as well as the planning and knowledge of how to set up and market something like that professionally. How is street workout integrated into the hall?<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

The mobile street workout system from Vertical is in a prominent position right next to the main entrance.<\/p>\n

What is there to say about parkour?<\/strong><\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

It is the world’s first indoor speed parkour course with two lanes. We have the official Olympic dimensions of 40 meters in length. The entire parkour area is enormous in size \u2013 not only in Switzerland, but throughout Europe we are doing quite well. <\/p>\n
