Street Workout Facility and SkillsArena in Thal SG
On July 29, 2022, a Street Workout facility by Vertical Technik was installed in Thal SG. At the initiative of the SkillsArena Thal association and in coordination with the municipality of Thal, Vertical Technik AG developed a preliminary project for its realization. As part of the overall project, the streambed was simultaneously renaturalized and the stream’s course was adapted to the new facility.
The versatile exercise offering includes a pumptrack with a separate area for toddlers, a concrete skatepark , and a Street Workout facility for functional strength training using one’s own body weight. Young people from Thal were actively involved in the project development so that their wishes and needs could be taken into account in the best possible way.
This created a varied meeting point for children, youth, and adults at an attractive location near Lake Constance – with diverse opportunities for sports, exercise, and shared outdoor training.
